The PCQ has made a specific Statement of Commitment in relation to keeping children safe. Anyone involved in children’s ministry within the PCQ must share these commitments:
- Be committed to the safety and wellbeing of children.
- Uphold the PCQ policies and procedures to safeguard children from harm.
- Have zero tolerance of child abuse or sexual exploitation of any form.
Ten Child Safe Standards
PCQ has adopted the ‘Ten Child Safe Standards’ recommended by the Royal Commission Into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.
